The Dell Smartphone has arrived!
Its called the “Mini 3i”, consistent with Dell’s small form-factor naming convention and bound (so-far) only for china. Not much more to report than Boy Genius reported the other day, but is running android (Redmond must be concerned) and in a pretty Maroon color (not really my cup of tea).

Dell close to releasing smartphone? Hell finally freezing over?

Photo: Rumored Dell smartphone/Boy Genius Report
Going back to the Dell Axim (Circa 2004), and reinforced by the legions of Motorola exiles who arrived to save Dell’s Consumer business, rumors of a Dell smartphone have rung from the hillsides. While Dell and Microsoft are usually tied at the hip on projects such as this, Boy Genius Report reports that they finally have a “launch ready” product. Seems that the product is designed just for the chinese market. Will be interesting if Uncle Mikey greenlights the design for outside the emerging markets
