Sprint To Offer Subsidized Dell Mini 10

mini 10Following Verizon’s and AT&T’s lead, Sprint seems to be ready to launch the Dell Mini 10 with integrated 3G wireless through its sales channels. The Mini 10, sporting a 1.6GHz Atom processor, 1GB of RAM and 160GB hard drive will be offered for $199 after a $100 mail in rebate.

We here at Observer Publishing are excited about Netbook rollouts with the major carriers. However, this is just the first step. T-Mobile is hinting at selling smartphones with the option to finance the purchase price as part of the monthly fee. We hope that the carriers will quickly consider this pricing structure for their netbook & notebook offerings. That’s when we expect to see  a bigger pop in sales.

Dell “Z” Inspiron Notebooks Coming Any Day to US

Inspiron ZDell has already started selling its Insprion 13Z and 15Z notebooks in the UK, as reported by T3.com and is expected to debut any day here in the US.

The notebooks, which measure in thicknesses of 26.4mm for the 13z and 29.2mm for the 15z are the latest Dell offerings featuring Windows 7 and Intel’s Ultra-Low Voltage processors.

By the looks of the system, they resemble much of the design cues found in the Studio XPS line which is now getting long in the tooth.

Love your Dell Adamo XPS; Just don’t LOVE your Dell Adamo XPS

500x_DellAdamoXPSrealdoll

CNET’s Crave Blog had an opportunity to take Dell’s new Adamo XPS notebook out for a test drive. We here at DellObserver.com shared with you teaser pictures which had been leaked teased by the company.

Turns out that the Adamo can only be opened by “rubbing” a sensor on the front of the case. I guess this takes affection for a gadget to all new heights not seen since the debut of the “RealDoll” back in the early 2000’s?

Consumers will be able to walk into retailers on Thursday and walk out with either software packages of the new operating system or with computer systems with the OS pre-installed. Dell is able to ‘pre-sell’ the software today as it still needs to build and ship the systems. Its unlikely that any systems will arrive before the launch date.
